Stock images are photos that are generic enough to be relevant for various stories and are safe to use because the images do not include any identifable people. E.g.: landscapes & skylines, logo signage, real estate, weather, police-related photos, etc.
Not all images are stock images. News photos that contain sensitive material (e.g.: youth, elderly, health) should not be considered a stock image; these photos have been created with the understanding that they will accompany a specific story within a specific timeline.
Yes. A news broadcast is considered an editorial use of an image.
Yes. An image may be used in a corporate newsletter.
A CP Stock image should not be used as a banner image on a corporate website but may be included within a company's blog.

Not all images are available for cover use (e.g.: no professional sports photos). Additional permissions are required for other photo subjects prior to confirming a licence for use.
Images intended for editorial use don't have model or property releases and should not be used for commercial, promotional, advertorial or endorsement purposes without obtaining additional approval.
A licenced property is the digital platform (website) that is allowed to use photos under a licence with the copyright holder.
A licence or permission from the copyright holder is required prior to using a photo (in any resolution).
Single use refers to a one time insert/use of the photo in either print or digital mediums. If you wish to use the image repeatedly,or if you wish to include the image in print and on a corresponding digital platform, please select the multi-use option.
